Photowatt International, a flagship of France's photovoltaic industry, filed for bankruptcy at the beginning of November and was placed into receivership with an observation period of six months.

The company's future will only be assured if a solid buyer comes forward. In order to demonstrate the dynamism and reactivity of Photowatt's employees, who are attached to their company and want to ensure its future, and to defend a symbol of France's industrial prowess, a handful of employees have created a cooperative called SUPERWATT. This movement is open to anyone who wants to help defend and promote the photovoltaic sector in France.

We spoke with, Julien, President of SUPERWATT who told us more about this first innitiative worldwide driven by employyes to save a solar PV company.
