Valerio Natalizia, President of GIFI (The Italian PV Industry Association) tells us about his vision of the future Solar PV market trends in the country.

Valerio Natalizia since 2003 he has been involved in the tsproduction of modules, distribution systems, photovoltaic inverter production and participates in
international working groups, conferences, workshops and forums with an extensive knowledge of the Italian and European PV market. In 2005 Valerio was made director general of SMA Italy, the Italian subsidiary
of the world?s largest inverter, SMA Solar Technology AG.

GIFI ? Italian Photovoltaic Industry Association, established in 1999 within the ANIE Federation - Confindustria (the Confederation of Italian Industries), was immediately recognised as a relevant correspondent by the governmental Institutions.

Activities

GIFI has progressively acquired political weight and operational strength, which confirms the validity of the initial strategic plan which includes the following main objectives:

• to represent the associate members in relationships with Government authorities, entities and bodies prominent in the sector;
• to cooperate with the auditing entities for the development of standardisation activities
• to promote technology development and the growth of the photovoltaic sector within Italy;
• to provide a guarantee of quality to the Italian customer;
• to coordinate joint operations within the European area;
