Hello and welcome to our weekly News from Moscow from Solar Russia 2011 a part of RUSNANOTECH Forum 2011which aimed on one hand at bringing together Russian and international industry and experts in order to give testimony and discuss how to kick-off and develop the Russian market in a sustainable way.
Russia, the biggest country in the world, and one of biggest suppliers of oil and gas has not yet seen a real need to develop a market for solar technologies.
SolarPV.TV came to Moscow to find out if there is a place for solar energy in the country.
We were extremely honoured to speak with Prof. Zhores I. Alferov, the winner of 2000 Nobel Prize in Physics and member of the Russian State Parliament, the Dumawho made an exciting speech in favor of solar technology during the conference.
